ENERGY IS ESSENTIAL FOR DAILY LIFE.

We use energy for travel, lighting and work purposes. Our energy-intensive lifestyle is increasing energy demand and consumption still further to the detriment of energy reserves and the quality of the environment.

At present, 80% of worldwide energy production (all uses combined) comes from fossil fuels (coal, oil, gas). New reserves are getting harder and harder to find, while existing reserves
are getting depleted.

Another problem is that fossil fuels contribute to global warming because combustion produces carbon dioxide. Therefore, we need to start using new ways of generating energy as soon
as possible

Our priority must be to find ways of heating, cooking and transport solutions, while protecting the environmental heritage that we will pass on to our children.
