A mature industry

Onshore wind is now a mature industry, recognized as an energy source that is both reliable and competitive. Technical progress allows the development of ever more efficient equipment and lower production costs.The cost of onshore wind decreased by 40% since 2010. At the same time, wind capacity worldwide has increased ninefold between 2004 and 2016 from 48 GW to 433 GW in 2014.
